Make A Wish Foundation

Spoke to neville Lush of Lush racing about the Make-A-Wish Foundation appeal and letting you fellas now, he has agreed to put up half of a custom tune and I'll be paying him the balance so you'll be able to buy a voucher of him to derestrict your bike, fit the three K&N pod filters and tune it!!!!! I'll be throwing in my K&N filters as have just put the bigger ones in to help with the 200+hp kit.

So Save your money boys and get ready to buy a voucher to unleash the beast within your standard rocket!

Steve the manager down at Team Moto at Springwood today kindly donated a $200 voucher for Triumph parts , clothing , whatever.... Bars set now so i'm off to Team Moto on the northside on saturday and they had better cough up as good or better.... Going to give Draggin Jeans in Melbourne a call , i've been told they will come to the party with a pair of their jeans for a worthwhile cause.

ya'll make sure the kid whoever it is, gets a ride
and I'll throw in some extra stuff for the kid,
say a hat and bandana for the kid, ok?
Now what color, red or black?
Who'se takin' the kid riding?
Wouldn't want the kids colors to clash.;)

Marty, stuff will be headin' your way Monday morning.

You have no idea not only me but the rest of the Aussies appreciate your contribution Skip.;)

Sadly as this is our first event I haven't had the resources and statistics to provide a broker to get the suitable insurances to take children on our bikes.:(

But trust me mate we don't mind learning a lot from our first rocket ride down under as here will definitely be many more I assure you bigger and better every year.:D:D

Just to let you all know this is the letter I drafted to get a bit of interest from potential sponsors. If you need a copy just send me a message and I will email the fully addressed version.

Dear Sir / Madam

I would like to take this opportunity to introduce you to RDU – Rockets Downunder, including our charity event for the Make-A-Wish Australia fundraising activity registration number is: 17058

Quite simply we are a group of like wise mature men and woman sharing a common interest the Triumph Rocket 3 motorcycle. We have decided that we would like to share our interest much further than just ourselves but with others far less fortunate than ourselves. With this idea in mind, we came up with our unique name RDU – Rockets Downunder to identify our interest through out all of Australia in creating an annual charity event raising money to donate to our chosen charity the Make A Wish Foundation.

As you may be aware, the Make A Wish Foundation dedicates their fundraising efforts to assist terminal ill children of all ages to maintain the best quality of life possible for them and their family through such hard times. I am proud to say the commit from RDU - Rockets Downunder will have people riding from as far away as Western Australia and Tasmania.

Our aim is to launch our annual event in Hervey Bay Queensland with a motorcycle show and display of some 50 Triumph Rocket 3 Motorcycles Saturday 15th September 2012, at the grounds of the Hervey Bay High School.

Could you please accept this correspondence as an invitation to become a valued supporter of our efforts with the donation of goods and /or services for an auction we’ll be holding during the bike show event being held on Saturday 15th September 2012. I would also like to take this opportunity to thank you in advance for your generosity and support of RDU – Rockets Downunder efforts for the Make A Wish Foundation.

Yours Sincerley

You just let me know the cost, worth a bloody trip to Melbourne for that bloke.

Hey Marty, might be worth dropping that letter round to Michael at the Happy Wanderer. I mentioned your name to him before. He might be able to be talked into putting up a cabin or something to auction off. He seemed very bike-friendly when I spoke to him - mention some major Ulysses event coming up there - and might be keen to promote the place a biking destination.

Great work, big fella. ;)
