I've been in contact with Dennis Foran (well known Aussie maker of custom exhaust) about the possibility of him making headers similar to the Perfect Storms. I first spoke to him months ago but it has only just now started moving forward at all. Not wanting to hijack anything Tex is doing but it may prove to be more cost effective to have some Aussie made ones for us here. In any case, he's only giving some consideration to the feasibility and cost first so it can't hurt to have a couple of options. Just one thing for anyone over here to consider. He's asked if anyone has a bike he can have access to. If need be I'll provide mine but thought I'd see if anyone else living nearer to Gosford can do it. All hypothetical at the moment but please let me know if you're interested - in the header and providing your bike.

Just so everyone knows I was quoted $800AUD by Reband for a set of his headers , that is un-coated and without studs for heat-shields. Give you all an idea what else is available. Peter at Meercat exhausts up in Gympie was keen to make us headers as well. He does superb stainless steel replica mufflers/header pipes for older classic bikes. Did try to arrange for a Rocket to be left with him so he could quote but it fell through.

I got this email today...

Thank you for your request. We have built some Rocket headers in the past that were a little different from the attached image. We could build one like that with some input from you. They would come in at about $900.00. They would be considerably less if the quantity was there. Let me know if we can answer any other questions. I just sold my Rocket III about two weeks ago.

The Perfect Storms do not require heat shields although hey are ceramic coated.

I know Dennis he has done some first class work on some of my other bikes ,I live 25ks North of his workshop if you like I can drop around and let him do some measurements on my R3T I don't know if he is model specific ie R C or T let us know if you are in contact with him ,no problem to slip down to east Gosford,PS I don't want to Hijack your post or negotiations,Cheers
