I had the manifold Cerakote plated and swapped the OEM shields for carbon fiber. It cuts down on the heat from the manifold. Here's what that looks like:

And mounted up with new gaskets:

It doesn't eliminate the heat off the manifold, just makes it tolerable.
I didn’t think about carbon fiber. This is why I missed communities like this.

My bike hasn't shipped yet, and it's winter here, so I'm just planning for the spring riding season. So the heat in general isn't unbearable? My Yamaha Warror was air-cooled, and I only really noticed it when we were stopped in traffic in the summer.
The heat in general isnt bad just the exhaust on my right leg was an issue because I have short legs so my leg would be close to the exhaust. I did move my forward controls to the closest position which helped a bit but in the end mid position was the way to go.

Many of the videos about this bike focus on the positives, but not enough on mitigating the negatives. I would also like to know what I might need to be on the lookout for. Unfortunately for us new guys, there's a lot of conversation that happened for years that we missed out on, so I appreciate y'all catching us up.
