I want a Custom Exhaust for my Rocket

Perfect Storm?
Izzat what they be called?

That's actually the name that Travelguy called the headers that he made. Won't make anymore he says. Same as Gothlander is running , only a few sets were ever made as far as I know. OzRider didn't 'name' his exhaust .. just calls it "his exhaust"

I know Dennis he has done some first class work on some of my other bikes ,I live 25ks North of his workshop if you like I can drop around and let him do some measurements on my R3T I don't know if he is model specific ie R C or T let us know if you are in contact with him ,no problem to slip down to east Gosford,PS I don't want to Hijack your post or negotiations,Cheers

You're not hijacking anything mate. When I spoke to Dennis he was very friendly and keen to have a look at what I was proposing. I've asked if he needs a bike or just a stock header - I guess a bike makes a better jig and would provide greater certainty. Once I get his cost/time estimate I'll get back to you. Meanwhile, if you have some sort of history/relationship with him I don't see how it could hurt if you made contact with him. I'm not sure whether a Touring header is the same as that on a Roadster/Standard/Classic - they may well be. Anyone?

All the same... Only after o2 where collector ties in are the exhaust systems different...

I have given him a brief about expected costing and retro fit etc etc.... he is going to look into it

Quick update,
I have dropped my stock headers over and Trev (the exhaust guy) is working on flanges
He is in the process of arranging a Roadster to use for mock up and to produce the first set and make a jig.

Here is a link to his site, I have known Trev for years as we worked together in a race team back in the 90's, and a straight up guy.

D@mn but I do love progress!!! I'm stuck in a client location for a bit so the stock headers won't go out to the guy in North Dakota for a little while, but it looks like we are on a path to have multiple vendors for headers and that is awesome!!! One thing we may want to consider is that we set up one vendor for headers that hook up to a standard exhaust system and one that hooks up to a custom exhaust system unless we can get reasonable prices for both vendors to to standard and custom.

Thanks, TC.
It seems that they are indeed different style headers.
I need to find out what style R3Tex is ruminating on and how it compares to each design
since it looks as though there may be separate efforts going on in Oz and in Texas.

Things are moving along now here in OZ, Aussie Bruce has started a thread "Rocket Science" as his bike is at Trev's now.
