How much gas does a 2.5L Rocket really hold ?

I'm more comfortable with a 200 miles plus fuel range. I took a 261 mile ride today on my 2024 Tiger 900 Gt. The fuel light came on when I was 4 blocks from home. I went riding today because it was 95 degees out. I needed to see how I can do in the heat after my Cancer treatments side effects have mostly cleared up. I did well. I was out in the heat for almost 7 hours and I am fine tonight. ( I need a shower). I drank some water every 1 to 1.5 hours. I know its going to be very hot on my 4,000 mile ride. I'm leaving on Saturday. Pray for safety and good running bike for me. BTW: I will be off the Forum while I'm away on this trip about 14 days.

My 2020 TFC routinely gets 140 to 150 miles before the little gas pump lights up and range indicates 40 miles to. I've run it to under 20 miles left and it only to 4.06 gals. My mpg indicated on instrument usually sits around 41 mpg. Bike currently has 30,000 plus miles

Wow that’s good mileage. Pour more gas in the throttle hand and see if you can get less. Get some of that big little beast.

32.1 for me and I probably haven’t reset it in almost a year. I really don’t mind taking a break every 140–150 miles.

I’m not sure what I average but I rarely try to ride and save fuel. I’m burning that stuff for fun and the Rocket gives plenty of that.
