Help me find a good bagger setup for a 2014 roaster.

Hello everyone!

I have a conundrum in need of solving and was hoping someone here can point me in the right direction.

I have a 2014 rocket III roadster and am really wanting to convert it into a touring bike. ideally i want a road glide style backseat and trunk setup with the couch like backseat, speakers, trunk and all. i am wondering if this is even possible without spending more than the bike is worth. Im also looking for a good batwing. i know corbin has one but it looks more like a hollow shell that may be difficult to put speakers inside of.

If anyone has any advice or has done something similar to their roadster id love to hear it.

Sparky has a nice looking equipped Rocket X that is similar in style to the Roadster. He has a nice batwing and good looking bags. Look at his. BTW aa 2014 Roadster is worth about $7K, i think. You could easily spend more than that getting the full dress with music you are looking for. That does not mean it should not be done just don' t expect any return.

My Roadster is a 2015 rocket X
W/ Corbin fairing and Corbin Beatles bags. There are roadsters out there with batwing fairing w/speakers....and have hardly tour packs custom mounted for passenger comfort...also have spotted a passenger touring pad mounted on a roadster for passenger comfort.....sorry I can't help with those pictures....never thought to grab a picture...

I wandered downstairs and took a couple pictures....top is 2008 Touring seats, Black w/red stripes is 2018 Roadster seats....now you can see the difference.....good luck in modifying your bike....

Here's my 2018 Roadster. Bags trunk and windshield were installed by my dad before I inherited it. I think I found this trunk on Motea? And the saddlebags are from Viking. The trunk rack bolts onto the factory sissy bar bracket holes. It has it's pros and cons, but really my only complaint is that the trunk is really cheap. I'll be changing it out to add a Ginz Choppers sissy bar and luggage rack over the winter. If you haven't found a setup that works I may be interested in parting with the trunk setup as the rack looks like it'd be perfect for mounting a higher quality trunk.

Here is mine. Corbin bags and fairing. Corbin did not make the fairing with a cubby for a radio or speakers. The seat can be done with Corbin too or take a visit to a customizer such as Legendary BMS seats and Russel Day Long. I had mine done years ago by a simular seat builder like the Legendary BMS seats. Super very comfortable. But, you cannot go wrong with a Russell. No radio or speakers on the bike. I have helmet speakers for radio, MP3 and communication.

Why not just go to a Breakers yard and cherry pick a topbox of the size and proportions you require off an HD dresser? You’ll need to build a couple of mounts to bolt the rack to, and Kuryakyn make excellent foot boards for the passenger.

If I had the disposable cash, I'd go with a Corbin setup like Bills. I think they look the best on the Rocket of all I have seen. Having said that, I installed Leatherworks 112BLPOK leather bags fixed to Easybrackets on my ride. These have served me on two trips across Canada. If I was to repurchase from these people, I'd get the 112+2 bags with the pockets. These are 2 inches longer.
