We already had 'Conversation' on this - your Clearwater kit already comes with switch and dimmer.
Look back through your Conversations - Subject Ericas ... never mind I'll just send you a new reply so is at top of your list
 

Good, part # 12, the toggle switch. It looks to me like a one way on/off switch. Could be placed anywhere. Is that so?

It's one of the things that makes me doubt the product. A bit like fitting wheels to a tomato. Fit decent optics so they put down light where it's needed and dimming becomes moot.
 
I am sure that #13 is just a simple two terminal on-off switch. 2$ @ the local auto parts store plus I don't want anything else on my handlebars.
