Ask them to give you something. Tell the anesthesia guy exactly what you are telling us. He'll give you something. They have lot's of tools and know how to use them. I think that you are going to the angiography suite. You have been there. They pic on your groin and work through catheters. Beautiful stuff. All modern suites are well equipped and stacked with tools and options. Ask for meds for your anxiety and pain, I do. Talk to your Drs., they will listen. If they can they will patch you up without opening you up. If they can't they will know why and let you know why so. They do this day in and day out.

At 200 I would have skid marks in my trousers. Foooo

Friend of mine had open heart surgery awhile back. He told me that he was a nervous wreck when he was about to go in for surgery. He told the anesthesiologist that he was really really up set about the whole situation. The anesthesiologist gave him something. He told me they could have cut his head off and he wouldn't have gave a $hit.

With the stints....the doctor was telling me to watch the TV to my left and see my heart with a tube in the middle squirting ink........
Hello I was to dang scarred too look at my own heart beating with a hose up in it much less wanting to hear him trying to talk to me.
All I wanted to do was get up and run like crazy

I got an appointment tomorrow for a THA ECHO 2 test.....ever what that is...

Plus I got a report from a nurse from my heart doctor's office....she said that I had major arterial restriction in both legs. Tell me something I did not know....LOL ....I just want to know where the blockage is and if they can fix it......Like give me a pill and it will be fixed

I am sure I can wish in one hand and you know what in the other...

It must not be too bad because I do not see the doctor until Jan 26 2017.

I can feel the fear building up inside me now.......and that sucks........I watched them do a rotor rooter procedure on someone on youtube........Not good

Just hope I do not crash like Awefull Knawful did.

The 2 D echo is a scan (exam) of the heart done with an ultrasound machine. (gel and a probed on the skin). It will examine the function of the valves and condition of the heart muscle. It should also calculate the ejection or pumping power of your heart.

The final decision (diagnosis) as to how bad and where and what to do with your blockage of flow to the lags is usually done by angiography. I think this is where you are going to next. This is where they stick your artery (femoral artery) in the groin and inject a dye (contrast material). This produces very detailed pictures of the arteries. Sometimes the doctor performing the procedure opts to treat a lesion (blockage) right then and there. Sometimes, in some settings, some doctors will get more aggressive and go for an open procedure. Your doctor will discuss all this before he rolls you into the procedure room. Gently ask him if he is going to look at the arm/neck arteries. Pat him in the arm and tell him or her that you will trust their skill and judgment. Let us know when you are going in and we'll Say A Little Prayer For You.

In the mean time, take all your medications as prescribed and stay as active as possible. Move and walk as far and as often as possible. Exercise in sitting if possible.
When you'r back on your bike we'll go visit and have a celebration rally at your place.

OK.....

I had the ECHO test done.......it was a breeze. Warm jelly too.....lol

It was cool to watch her doing this test....She said my heart looked good.....strong valves ....the color change was good. The sound part was strong and crisp. she seemed very happy about the way everything looked and sounded

The only thing the did not sound that good to me was the u turn at the throat......it did not have that hard thump with second thump like the heart did....It made more of the swhoosh sound like my legs made and not very much of a second thump if any.
She did not comment either way about the U turn

She said the doctor had 59 pictures to look at. So now it is time to wait...until Jan. 26, 2017.....Must not be too bad if it can wait that long...LOL
