I would like to be able to switch out between Darkside and MC tire whenever I want.
I love my Darkside but realize that a MC tire has its advantages also.

Last May there was a rear wheel on ebay that went for about $260.00 USA and I wished that I had bidded on it.

AH one of them there switch hitters :p

Nolton likes it both ways? :rolleyes:

Serious question. Given that darksiders universally say that a car tyre is superior in every way, including (especially?) handling and braking, under what circumstances would you switch to the bike tyre?

Don't get me wrong, I wish I had a spare rim so I could experiment rather than having to take a punt and being stuck with it. It's a great idea.

Even I can see why someone might want to run a car tyre periodically - need a new tyre but can't afford a proper one; towing; going on a long, straight and dead flat/level road; drag racing. But I'm just wondering when someone swayed by the claimed benefits of a car tyre would want to compromise them and run an inferior bike tyre. :confused:

OK, maybe I'm being a bit provocative. :evil:

just a bit :rolleyes::p:D
I to would like a second wheel actually two, front and back because I want to do ( which will be taking some time) something to my wheels and don't want to be without my girl but also because I am not closed minded as some I would like to try a bridgey out of curiosity the Darkside is my referred choice for touring And towing also. I have never sad they were perfect but but overall they have far more advantages than disadvantages (low speed manoeuvring on rough surfaces just needing a bit of muscle and balance skills). I would probaly go back to a Darkside after trying out a bridgey unless it was exceptional and from I have read so far about them starting to go off after they reach 3/4 wear and starting to slide I am almost certain I'd go back to the Darkside maybe we should just swap back wheels for a weekend ride Richard then you could form a real opinion ... Mind you as I said before with your light weight you would might find it a bit more challenging
:D:rolleyes::D

Ah yes, another reason to run a car tyre - if you're a fat bastard. :rolleyes:

I find riding the Rocket overwhelmingly enjoyable. Why would I want to make it challenging?

See That I try and be nice and you go call me Fat, I am not Fat I am of a solid heavy set with just a little extra pading at the moment even if I lost the ten kilos extra I am carrying i would still look bigger than you ever will ya little pee wee!!
Watching you ride with a bike tyre looks challenging enough... ya skinny little runt:rolleyes:

Yea, yea, yea, bunch of funny bastards !!!!!!

Caught one hanso!

Fishing is fun.

Ok. Canberra.
The main reason is I want to teach my wife to ride and I would not try it on a darkside. The other reason is I would like to have another wheel so that I can buff it to a chrome like finish.

Switch hitter? Warp9.9, you have been at that job too **** long. Time for a change.
