Dreadful footrests position on Roadster

Hello 1olbull.... I have a 2008 classic with the similar floor boards. I can't tell from the pick but do they allow any ajustment???
Regards Sportsman...

What Warpo said below.
Also with boards you have many foot positions forward and aft negating the need for adjustment, IMHO.
My rails are from a "Standard" and not a "Classic" model as noted by the extra height off the ground (clearance), which I seriously prefer.

They wanted a more forward, aggressive rider position for the Roadster.
I also like the Raask offering, but have concerns it places feet more inboard exacerbating the heat issue - especially with custom header systems.

Yeah mate, "they wanted", which is pretty much my point. Not everyone wants the same thing. On most bikes the pegs are where they are but the set up on the Rocket could have enabled individual choice. Given the state of some of the hips, personal preference and not to mention different sizes of rider, variable peg location could have been easily achieved and a great thing.

AND the RIVCO highway pegs are fully adjustable to suit different riders and worked out great for me on my 2012 ROADSTER

@1olbull you should ask Les @Trirocket3 I believe he has a set of the Raask or had a set he would know if they were any narrower the the standards which are the same width as the Roadster rails. That will give you a good idea. I think they are the same but Les would know for sure.

Merely curious about this issue and attempting to offer another perspective for potential foot peg relocate shoppers.
I be quite pleased with my Standard boards.
What say you, @Trirocket3 ?

I really like the adjustable footpeg kit from Raask, has slightly more ground clearance & places pegs either further back or forward than stock,
total range of about 6" adjustment. Still use them now but only have old pics.
This is with Rivco boards.

If I had the classic rails and legs, I would never get out of first gear (shortish legs) I like the roadster position but hiway pegs a must for long trips.
BTW welcome from Brisbane Australia
And where are you in the world?

As most of you know I'm a red faced little turd
