DO NOT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES.........

Oven cleaner is not to be used to clean anything except a oven. That's why they call it OVEN cleaner. lol

Oven cleaner works great on chrome pipes - but be very careful of overspray.
I don't feel like a complete idiot for trying it, although with the benefit of hindsight......
If I ever use that stuff again on any part of my bike again I'll be giving the bike to TC.

Had you did the upper pipes you could have always went this route

Here's what it looks like now. The heat shield is the one I was using with the stock header so is a little short but will do for now. The pipe's still a bit dull but much better than it was.
Other thing I've done is have the mufflers leveled out a little so they don't sweep up so much. I like the line of them now much better.

Got to ask what may seem a drongo question.
Why the heat shield???

I am a cu*t hair from laying down on a set of these awesome pipes.
The way they look to tuck in so well, I was under the impression a heat shield would not be needed.
Any differences in the fit on a Roadster? Better - worse - same???
Please expound, Mate.
