Darkside Mounting Suggestions

I'll bet you got that from the same place you got "stage 1" and "stage 2" phrases ..... from a video game. There is NO SUCH THING! And your Super Rocket that developes more torque as the RPM's increase .... NO SUCH THING!
Since horse power is a mathematical equasion of torque x RPM .... it must develop around 2000 horse power? BULL! No one believes you anymore, you lie about your underwear size. Take another drink, unplug the computer and daydream without boring others with your fantasies.

HEY MR MEAN WE ARENT talking about CTS IF you think its BS then dont lube yours its your loss DONT care what you do :) and i dont have to back anything up SO since your smarter than us DONT GREASE YOURS :D

What is CTS? Do you mean car tires? Are those words too big for you? Your whole point about this imaginary service interval is someone with a car tire would be missing out on it, plus if you didn't realize we are in the section of the forum about car tires.

If you are telling people to go to the dealer and spend money you should have some facts to back it up. Like I said there is lube on mine, in fact on all the shaft drive bikes I have had I never had any of the grease dry out.

No grease

OH BOY then you better not grease yours :D

Nope,
it's NOT B.S.,
they DO indeed need lubed occasionally.
I figure about every 10,000 miles wouldn't hurt.
It's easy enough to take the rear wheel off and do it.
I recommend the Honda moly 60,
its kinda expensive,
but alot cheaper than a new rear end.
Pull your rearend off and check the splines yourself,
maybe yours don't need lubed.
Mine did.
But then,
maybe I just ride more aggressivly than some do.
JM2CW,
skip

As far as the original question on tire mounting goes.
I took the old tire still mounted and the new tire to a
independent small time operation tire dealer.
He removed the old and mounted the new for $20.00.
Did say he'd never seen one just like that, but had no trouble,
either dismounting or remounting.
30 minutes later I was on the road again.
BACK TO REALITY SKIP how many miles did yours have on it when you greased it ??

Can't we all just get alo... wait wait wait ... I just can't go there ... I won't!
In other news, Grease me up woman

grease

check at every oil change...

Art,
you brought this on yourself. I'm going to back you on this one,'cause it's valid. the prior post on darkside side walls exploding... well, no... splines, yes. darkside,no...

Guys Guys Guys, I'm would be the first to throw a rock at Im##@@$t because he normally is so full of **** when it comes to The Darkside but the splines he is I assume refering to are in the tube from the engine to the diff to insect them when you happen to have the wheel of by undoing the lower shock mount and the four bolts attaching it to the swingarm tube and as far as intervals are concerned the time it takes to wear out CT should be sufficent and using a hi- pressure grease like Honda moly 60 would be best for the the job.
 I can't beleive I actually agreeded with some thing he said but then the Jerk did hijack the thread so for f##k sake why don't you leave us Darksiders alone or join us, get your narrow mind in gear you might even enjoy it:eek:

Back on Topic Find a independant tyre fitter and buy the tyre from him as long as he will fit it for free my local even went to the trouble to get extentions for his machine so the disk can stay put:D

GREG I never said the sidewalls explode but glad to see your here for support ;) AND im still interested in trying out a Car TIRE that might be an improvement over the the one PHIL has mounted HIS was the one that ended up riding on the sidewalls after we went on a spirited ride thru the twisties WHY get upset were just evaluating alternatives to short lived motorcycle tires Im going to need a rear tire myself in the near future if they wearout as fast as everyone says SO ???

WHY are you upset because i mentioned the drivshaft splines I now have 3k on my rocket and expect to adress the driveshaft lubing process on my own bike SO you say the HONDA MOLY 60 is what you use at what mileage intervals ?? seems to be conflicting info on the proceedure
