Could it just be my shifter?

Before I did any of this I was sensing a sort of "floaty" feel to the bike.

Haven't missed a single shift since I made the adjustments that were suggested. So I'm pretty confident that the problem was clumsy shifting due to poor shifter adjustments.

I set it all up based on Doc's description making sure that the linkage rod and the shifter itself are parallel and greased it up using White Lithium spray.

Now the White lithium is a staple in my garage...
