I use to belong to a union.
It use to really p**s me off to pay them dues for nothin.
Now I work at a Wal-Mart distribution center.
We pay our own insurance.
We get paid a better wage than most folks around here.
We get incentive bonuses 4 times a year.
We get paid for every minute we're on the clock.
We ain't gonna get outsourced to india or somewhere.
My check ain't gonna bounce.
I'm out of the weather.
I get my 40 hours a week and more if I want it.
Think I'll buy two sets of lights..( its job security).
To God be the glory.

I too was a Union member IAM/AW Local 570 in Tampa Florida. I’m vested in their retirement plan. I paid dues for many years till one day I was laid off from the Shipyard and went to the Union hall to go to work. I asked to see the job sheet and was told “We don’t have a job sheet and it’s not our place to find you employmentâ€Â
