Change Those Fuel Filters

Are you sure Ken, I thought they would get OH&S involved. Seeing it is involving a flammable substance. Create a SOP(standard operating procedure ), a SWMS (Safe work method statement ), cordon the area off, then proceed with the repair, get halfway through and realize they didn't have the correct filter, order the correct one. ....Two weeks later install it. After the 3rd week you phone them angrily wanting to know when the hell your bike will be ready. They reply with "We did try to call you but we must have had the wrong number " You go to pay and it costs a lot more than verbally mentioned as there were complications. .....Next time you get one yourself and install it.

to top it off they would find an Aboriginal rock carving at the back of the workshop and after the land claim discover a colony of barrel chested bed thumper frogs in the drain out the front, the bike l would run out of rego and because it was modified require an engineers report on the changes before renewal

Just changed mine in just under an hour.
Runs much stronger.

Found three pieces of tape in the tank. Two black and one white. Not sure where they could have come from. Looked to original filter.

Changed mine recently. Not a bad job. Simple straightforward and didn't take to long. I got a Mahle KL-145 filter from another source for half the price of the stock filter. BTW: the stock filter is actually a Mahle KL-145 painted with Triumph on it. Save a bunch of money and get a Mahle KL-145 from a local shop or from Amazon.

On Amazon tonight.
MAHLE Original KL 145 Fuel Filter
List Price: $34.53
Price: $14.20 & FREE Shipping on orders over $49. Details

I also found tape in my tank. I guess its from when it was new in assembly

I thought the local Truimph dealership messed up your fuel gauge last time they changed a fuel filter on one of your bikes Mexican?

I looked up the part number on Amazon and was just getting ready to click buy when I noticed this warning at the bottom of the screen.

It scares me a little that Amazon knows what type of motorcycle I ride
