I have the same pipes but I do not use footpegs, also when I have my feet on the pegs I always use the ball of my feet helps control the bike better, the pipes do get hot no doubt about that, wonder if you can buy /make something that slips over your leg up to your knee that would help you out

with ceramic coating works pretty good.

Our local ceramic coater can do inside and outside. It was an option when I did my Ford 6.0 manifolds. Kind of pricey, but might be a reasonable route too.
