Another "Which Tune" Thread

Let us know. I am very happy with the performance I am getting. My set up is the same as yours.
Maybe you could send him a copy of my V2 AFR table map as I am not able to as I am on my iPad while here in the states and have very limited data on my US SIM card

That would be great.
It seems like the V2 AFR table with dtgeise R3 ECU map and Ramair will make a noticeable difference.

Sorry to take so long, Been the week from hell. I zipped up both versions of the fuel table for you... I am running version 2.

SO ? How you making out ?

I had a family emergency this past weekend, so the project took a bit of a back seat.

I was able to access the ECU via TuneECU and confirm I was running map 20368 which is OEM Aftermarket Exhaust (I had dealer installed TORS before I installed the Jardines). This is what I expected.

I Installed the ECU map you recommended using TuneECU. I did not change the PCV map (running one downloaded from PCV website - R3T w/Jardine, K&N, and butterflies removed). I opened up the Autotune to allow +/- 20% trims (I was down to 5% because things were running really well). I also did the 12 minute tune - not sure is I needed to. Then I took it for a ride. I think it made one hell of a difference! It might just be my imagination, but my seat of the pants dyno tells me this was a noticable improvement.

The Ramair filter arrived today. With any luck, I'll get it installed this weekend.

So now I am considering what A/F map to run in the PCV. With all due respect to Hans, I am wondering if I should try to duplicate the A/F table in the ECU map that you guys provided, or run Hans's map. The ECU map, if I remember correctly, was from a dyno tune done by Wayne on a bike with the same exact setup as I am running (K&N, not Ramair).
So, I'm open for thoughts on this. Maybe Wayne's table is a compromise between fuel economy and power and Hans's is pure power?

I ran just that ecu tune before I got the PCV and Auto tune. Like you I think there was noticeable difference after I put in Hans's fuel map. I have not found a dyno guy in my area that I trust yet.The place here in town told me I was wasting my time trying to get more out of the bike, and they could not guarantee they would not blow up the bike.... So I really do not know hp or torque. though it is pretty easy to switch so why not run one for a while and then try the other and see what you think...

also there is always the two map option with the map switch. I'm getting low ti mid 30's mpg with the map, that was even while pulling a trailer riding two-up.

So I finally got to complete my mods. This morning I installed the Ramair filter and loaded Hans's map (#2) into the PCV. I already had loaded the TuneECU tune that Bonecarver suggested.

I took it for a ride and can say the combination of adjustments made an appreciable difference in power. I have the Autotune set to make +/-20% trims, but the bike ran really well the first time out. I didn't notice any popping on decel and acceleration was strong and smooth. I did notice the fan running more than usual, but the TuneECU update lowered the "fan on" temp.

I'll be keeping an eye on run temp as the weather heats up, but things seem to be good.

Thanks for your help, guys/mates....
