Advise on mirror installation needed

Mully95 if you need fitting tool that is that little black washer looking thing pm me address I will sent it to you are you I the us ?

I'm in South Carolina.... thanks for the offer!

Mully .. have you actually 'tried' the couple of flat washers suggestion ?? Bought a couple of sets of teardrop mirrors from Triumph and never got a 'fitting tool' with them either.

If I mess this up I promise I will try the washers.

I came home from work and mounted the mirrors. Everything went smoothly. I even torqued them to exactly 10 NM like the instructions advised. I fired it up and gave it some throttle while looking in the mirrors and they don't seem to vibrate as much. I really can't tell until I get it out on the road. Maybe tomorrow... right now I just want to chill out. lol

Hey @mully95
What did you find out? Is there an installation tool? Did it make any difference?

Yeah I used the black washer tool thing that came with the mirrors. There is pictures of it in this thread. The sad news is it helped some but not what I wanted. The mirrors still vibrate but now they vibrate in a different RPM zone. I can use my mirrors in 5th gear in which that's mostly when I use them to switch lanes etc..etc.. I'm not happy with them any other time. Going up through the gears the mirrors clear, vibrate, clear, vibrate. The thing is I can put my hand on the mirror and can feel the resonance.... no wonder they are hard to use! I will just have to live with it I guess. Thinking about bar end mirrors but to me that would be worse since that's where the bar end weights are located. The job of the bar end weights is to keep down the vibes. I know some people don't have problems with vibes in the mirrors. I'm beginning to think it's engine itself. Like the Roadsters just vibrate more compared to the classics. Or my headstock bearing needs tightened up.... who knows.

I never received the tool with my teardrops either, my left one used to vibrate at certain revs the Kuryakin Skeleton hands do not vibrate at any revs

I had the vibration issues on two different 2014 Roadsters at different RPMs, using the same set of mirrors, I really like the tear drops but maybe it's time to try something else

I'm gonna call the Triumph dealer tomorrow and ask them about that installation tool
