Yeah I used the black washer tool thing that came with the mirrors. There is pictures of it in this thread. The sad news is it helped some but not what I wanted. The mirrors still vibrate but now they vibrate in a different RPM zone. I can use my mirrors in 5th gear in which that's mostly when I use them to switch lanes etc..etc.. I'm not happy with them any other time. Going up through the gears the mirrors clear, vibrate, clear, vibrate. The thing is I can put my hand on the mirror and can feel the resonance.... no wonder they are hard to use! I will just have to live with it I guess. Thinking about bar end mirrors but to me that would be worse since that's where the bar end weights are located. The job of the bar end weights is to keep down the vibes. I know some people don't have problems with vibes in the mirrors. I'm beginning to think it's engine itself. Like the Roadsters just vibrate more compared to the classics. Or my headstock bearing needs tightened up.... who knows....
I know ... get rid of the grommet /washer things .. got me stumped why you won't even try it .. headstock bearings .. engine ..sheesh
