I know there's a little click of you here that live in each others "cyber-space" pockets.... thats fine . But there are also Rocket owners that aren't the least bit interested in other model bikes or what bit of store-bought bling the owners have added to them . There's a number of ALL TRIUMPH sites out there that have next to nothing about Rockets but heaps about all the other models . The past couple of weeks there seems to be more and more **** about thunderbirds. I thought this was a Rocket specific site????? I dont know about anyone else but i reckon the Thunderbird looks and rides just like another Jap-style cruiser ... It ain't nothing to get excited about in my opinion !!!!

That's right. It's just your opinion. And guess what, I don't give rats ass about your opinion. ;)

Again, no one put a gun to your head forcing you to click on this thread. Move along to one that appeals to you.

You might want to look at the forum you are posting in, it is called Thunderbird Talk.

Some of our members have bought a t-bird in addition to their rocket or they have gotten rid of the rocket and bought a t-bird. We'd like to keep them around.

So don't be a turd in the punchbowl. :D

ROCKET Darrel that is one fine looking Thunderbird, I would be proud of it to I have had all different types of Bike's over the years i took my test on a Harley-Davidson FLH full dresser complete with a 8 track player in 1977 so I like to hear about all bikes but I love my Rocket III

Thank you sir. I'm afraid I suffer from the same problem. I rarely meet a bike I don't like. I had an 08 R3T and really didn't care for it so I ended up selling it. I also had quite a few issues with it so it made my decision easier. I often tell folks, however, that had I bought a standard R3, I'd likely still have it. I like that bike much better. It fits me (ergos) much better than the R3T.

Certainly, the Rockets are nice bikes.

Have to admit I have made the same mistake in the past, I started to rag on someone when they were selling a seat and I told them to post it in the classified section which they had and quite a few of our lovely members told me so. not the first time I made a mistake and it will not be the last.
Sitting here listing to Rolf Harris not heard him in years.,

Give TC a break fellas. This is a very tame site compared to others and what he said would be just part of normal banter on the .com site and many others. Add to that the understandably unexpected T-bird forum on this site. When TC first posted here some weeks ago frankly it was a breath of fresh air and showed him to be exactly the sort of straight shooter many of you guys seemed to understand characterises us from down here. Jeez, who wants to walk around on egg shells anyway. That doesn't mean we're all the same - some of us call a spade a spade and others call it a f***ing spade. This guy is your salt of the earth Aussie. Disagree with what he says but don't rubbish him or our nationality for having the balls to say it - and it was an honest mistake anyway which he's now acknowledged.

Tomcat, I know you don't need anyone to speak up for you and possibly don't appreciate it, so apologies. Believe it or not, I've been known to shoot my mouth off from time to time too so I understand entirely that sometimes good intentions get lost in the timing or delivery when you inadvertently step on someone's toes. Not everyone gets that.

Good on ya mate. Hope you stick around here.

I happen to be one of these former Rocket owners (2004-2009) who have eventually switched to the T'Bird. RocketDaryl and Moliman are two others, as far as I know. I appreciate both the T'Bird forum on R3Owner (thanks for keeping us around, Pig9r ;)) AND feedback on the Rocket and its owners, some of them known to me since the early days of the site. Regards. Jamie:cool:
