That is a tall windshield. You must be REALLY tall. The bottom line is that if you like it and it works well keeping the wind off your noggin then good on you. At my age I don’t like the wind hitting me that’s why I won’t use the OEM shield. I have a Powerbronze and it works fine I guess. Remember, getting hit with the wind at 100+ isn’t fun. In fact, it blows.🌪️ I’ll see myself out…

Got it done. It was a compromise between leaving things loose enough to slide in and out, and not having it be to shakey. Test ride will tell.

Powerbronze mid-size looks great! Protects up to chest and shoulder height well With handguards I've had up to 240 km/hr, steady as a rock. May go larger version 2 pce for improved helmet protection when highway touring.

Love the design and fab work. Really nice! How did the test go?
Thanks, I like tinkering on the bikes. Actually, I'm on my way out to the garage to make a couple more adjustment holes in the support arms. Its been windy here, and yesterday on the highway I was really getting blown around with the "spinnaker" fully up. I'm going to try it raked back an inch today. Save full up position for days with less wind. It has good range though. Easy to look through it full up without the top edge dancing around in your line of sight. And down/raked back, fully its easy to look over. Just noisier if you don't crouch down on the highway. 50 mph or so its fine looking over in a comfortable sitting position.

I tried a shield with that shape. Tapered in at the bottom. It didn't work for me. It left two "holes" at the bottom sides where air blew in, hit my chest, and up into my face. Glad it works for you. It does look nice. Another thing I noticed is there is a big difference with my feet on the forward controls and with them back in the mid/standard position. Forward the wind hits my legs and rides up them like a ramp. With my feet back its much quieter around my helmet. Here's the one I tried. I didn't pay that for it though. Wow, that's nuts. I think it was $290 24.5" HIGH TOURING WINDSCREEN TRIUMPH ROCKET 3 GT TALL WINDSHIELD FLIP UP SCREEN | eBay

Wow! That's a big one! Probably protects well.

Well, figured out how to keep the shield solid and still have it loose enough for the struts to slide in and out of each other. Made knobs to loosen, then slide to a different position, then tighten back up.

Yeah, plenty of wind blockage, but it also gets moved around when its windy and your at 80-90. It was a little disconcerting at first, but its like riding on gravel, or a steel deck bridge. After a bit you realize the bike is skittering around, but isn't going anywhere.
