A year ago I dodged a dog, but hit a crash barrier.. at a tad over the limit (hmm)
7 broken bones in one foot, other foot torn to shreds, 3 broken bones in hand, 2 cracked ribs and more road rash than I care to remember

Damage to the bike was mainly cosmetic, or so I thought.. forks, tank, bars and lots of chrome bits.... Wife said I was not allowed on it any longer and I had to sell it.... So I kept it at a mates house for nearly a year while she simmered down.... Until finally she agreed I could put it back on the road... after suffering my little 1100cc Yamaha dragstar...

So out it came, and went to another mates garage where we assessed the damage... heart was fluttering at the thought of getting the beast back on the road...
It was decided that it would never be a factory bike again, and so it was to be brutalised... murdered.. and reborn...
The front of the engine casing was cracked, the oil filter smashed off and the crank case damaged on the front... so it was completely stripped and engine sent to a good tig welder, it was just the timing chain housing that was damaged so he was pretty sure it could be done... 3 weeks later all repaired, so my mates set about doing whatever they liked to the bike.. I gave them a free hand, bit said that it had to be mean, have a real street presence and turn old grannies in their grave.... they have not disappointed.. its almost finished now, tank and read mudguard to paint.. Everything on the bike is going to be satin black ...
Mods done include custom exhaust, filters, chopped front and rear fenders, Harley under fender rear light, indicators removed, hagon nitro shocks, 1.2m wide flyer bars, custom headlights (not fitted yet), seat has been stripped and lowered, all unnecessary covers removed (the guys are firm believers that covers are for cars, not bikes and remaining chassis parts smoothed and painted to match... all paint will bein satin black, no gloss.. but we started it up for the first time in a year yesterday so I thought now is a good time to post some pics.. and a youtube video of first start up.. what do ya think?

here is the link (all the smoke is off the freshly painted and wrapped exhausts)

The Phoenix has risen, nice job. You might want to put a set of crash bars on if not for you but to keep the wife happy..;) Looking forward to seeing the finished bike.

Fire coming through the pipes. NICE. Well worth the looks on the guys faces when you pull up TIM HORTONS. [Canadian coffee shop] where all the harley riders hang out.
