I belive in 2011 touring rockets were dressed up a bit from norm they had a taller windshield installed from triumph. i belive it was called the roadster windshield. 6" taller me thinks.

As I said there are two shields available from Triumph ;) Mine's an 09 and when I got it they supplied it with both windshields as well as other extra's (this was in the UK though). The taller shield was way too tall for me at 6' and, like many others, I ended up cutting it down a few inches.

I just purchased one on ebay and it stated it was for touring models after a certain serial number. Mine is an 08 and was after the number stated. But I wasn't aware of any differences until now and still am not sure what the differences are. I checked the part number and it isn't available any longer.

Could that be for a R3 Classic Tourer? Thats not the same bike

That is correct, in 08 they came with the short windshield with the option to buy the taller touring windshield, now they come out with the taller one. If I traded I would keep my original so I could still have two choices.

If the screen is for the bike pictured in your gallery, you need one for a Standard/Classic/Tourer/Roadster - all with twin headlights. If the screen you bought is for a Touring (first released in '08) it will be for a single headlight and won't fit.
