Ricks stator is holding up well, the coating on the copper windings is gone except for a couple small pieces hanging on, I suspect ill find this stuff, but the copper shows no signs of burning. Ricks
Are you saying that the Epoxy Coating was all gone from the windings? (the copper wire itself has an insulation on it - it has to, or the whole thing would just all short)
Do you think that stuff on your screen really might be Epoxy?
Did you contact Ricks about that? You probably should, including before (if you have them) and after pictures.
The condition of the Coils themselves probably a LOT down to your SH847 R/R
hey bud i have it at home ill shoot you some pictures and contact Ricks, the copper is now bare but seems fine, maybe stays cooler, ill send them pictures, hey ill be contacting you to see if i can get a alarm plug for my wireless/keyless ignition. Thanks man. I see what youve been doing, very cool.
It might look it Kevin, but it can't be - the wire actually has an insulating sleeve on it - the turns HAVE to be isolated from each other otherwise it would just all short out. So what actually looks like bare copper is actually insulated wire. That is not to be confused with the Epoxy coating that put on after that (which is what appears to have gone)
So in leakey i battled the widowmaker, i won no blood, but i had a tps issue, @Rocket Scientist generously dug in and i was glad, we noticed a wire on the map sensor plug had wire showing, but we moved on, well i got a few hours and got after that plug, walleye tps good, now to change the springs i neglected to change when i put this engine back together, moving on. Then in about a month we roll out The Lush Racing grudge eating street machine.
