What if I told you that you were only ever using 90% throttle

Check this out. Your throttle might be only opening to 90% or a little better (both my engines' throttles are like this)

Will this, if corrected, free up a little more tq/hp on the dyno?

Before my engine build, the triumph tech who worked on bike put a clamp in a place where the throttle was only opening to about 75%.

Dyno showed 12 HP less like that. I'd imagine there's a little gain from 90-100, but not a ton with stock engine.


Definitely one of the little differences from bike to bike that'll show on a Dyno.
This is one of the changes maxxbore does when boring the TBs, he filed the stop so it opens fully.
