Ok so now im still pissed off , This is what i have done . connect car battery , with charger both battery fully charged. Laptop fully charged and plugged in , all anti viris firewalls and screen savers turned off . tried for over an hour with different maps to get the recovery done but to no avail . Sometimes it gets to 2 or 3% once to 5% but times out or just freezes , there has got to be something else i'm missing .
Any more ideas ?
Should i try and disconnect the PCV in case it is causing a breakdown in connection or down load ?

Yes Tom it was connected when i downloaded the tune to send to Hanso and when i tried to down load new tune into unit .

mmmmmmmmm, very strange
It may be that perhaps your cable has been damaged somehow, whatever.
They use also still the same computer as before?

Read this
1 – Have your PC opened in the Tune Ecu program
2 – Connect the cable to the bike via the plug under the seat near the battery, the plug with glow .
3 – Connect the cable to a USB port on the PC
4 – Turn the ignition , you can pull out the headlight fuse to prevent the head light power drain while the down load function takes place.
5 – A small box on the bottom right of the screen should start flashing red, then to yellow to green confirming the computer and the bike ECU are connected.
6 – Open the map you wish to load into the bikes ECU, you should have saved the map in the bike in case you need it in the future.
7 - Click on the ECU box, left to corner of the screen, click on download in the drop down box.
8 – A box in the centre of the screen will ask you to confirm the download process, click ok.
9 – As soon as you have clicked ok you will see the bar on the bottom of the screen indicated the percentage of the map being loaded into the bikes ECU until it reaches 100% then the bar will be green.
10 – When 100% is completed a box will appear to confirm, click ok.
11 – Now the TPS has to be reset, turn the ignition off and straight back on, leave on for 10 seconds then turn off and back on.
12 – Go back into the ECU box and click RESET ADAPTION, you will hear the reset process happening on the bike.
13 – The TPS box on the bottom left area of the screen will now be white
14 – Refit the headlight fuse and start the bike, let the bike idle until the TPS box turns green, this can be a few minutes.
15 – The map loading is now complete, time for a ride.
I have read the 12 minute tune process should be carried out after a map load, this is up to the you.

Thanks mate but i got to down load the original tune out but have had a failure on upload of new map , now bike is dead and the recovery only gets to 2 or 3 % before it fails . So some where we have a glitch . whether it is a cable or a break some where or just a ****ed ECU now . i will get another cable and see if it is that first and if that don't work i guess i'm off to the dealers and bend over and get reemed for ****ing with it .

I used my lap top and cable on a month old Rocket R3R 20 minutes up the road that was dead, at the time the owner thought he had stuffed the ECH but got it going again, my guess he had a bad cable. If you are really stuck I can post you my cable to try, PM me if you want.
