Tried to clean up the tail... Better or worse?

Was thinking the same need a before picture.

The new ones must be a lot lighter than the old model being that close the wall.
 
Maybe a rear and side picture, hard to say based on that angle, but generally, I like minimalism. But hate the license plate holder, can't see it looking good any way.
