Get your TuneECU working with the LonElec cable; read the instructions four times (you can practice reading your existing map and saving it - strongly recommended practice before changing anything -- always leave a path back), and then put the PowerTrip map in.
Take a ride - carefully measure your fuel consumption, and combine that with your seat-of-the-pants "accelerometer" (decide on some runs that you are able to perform safely in your area -- do them now, record the results (whatever they are), then do exactly the same thing after the alternate map is loaded, and you'll have your results.
If you're happy with it -- then you've achieve a goal. As PowerTrip wrote back when, this is the cheapest 30 hp you'll gain. Everything else after costs, and some costs a great deal.
