touring excedra max

38 Front 42 Rear ,,, pleased with them up too now after, todays ride 6000 klm and plenty of tread left, no sign of cupping,, 7ooo klm out of the last set of metzlers and both tyres were stuffed .

Hey Dennsell, do you have a touring also, your avatar looks like a standard/classic. I couldn't find an Excedra "MAX" for the front of my standard. I just purchased another Excedra 150/80 R17 M/C 72 H. It's only rated for 130 mph but I generally don't go that fast. Are you sure it's a MAX ?

Did indicate 05 STD.
Same as your RS.. Max rear Ex front. but I think inflation pressures are a preference depending on weight and manufactures recommendation, tried variations but 41/38 is best for us..:D

I also learned to check mine at least once a week for handling and tyre/tire wear which equals personal preservation.. IMO

Thanks for clearing that up, Dennsell. Crikey, it only took you three posts, but that's about on par for we Yanks to fully understand you Aussies!:D

People have to keep in mind that there are two Exedra lines. One is just the Exedra, the other utilizes a higher mileage compound and is called, appropriately, the Exedra Max.

I am now on my 2nd Max in the rear and I just mated it to an Exedra Max 130/70 17 up front. I am certain that I now have the most flickable R3 on this board. I was running 41 lbs rear and 40 up front with the Michelin Commander II, 140/75/17, but now have 38 lbs on the new max up front and 40 lbs on the rear. I weigh about 200lbs fully (ATGATT) geared up. My permagrin is the widest it's ever been since I bought my Mulberry Mistress!

BBQ, anyone?
