Torque & HP. What's it really mean?

Those are impressive #s on the Zook. I've ridden several but wasn't nuts about the rider/bike connection. My VTXes felt stronger (even though they certainly were not) and they transmitted a better feel for the road than the M109R, which is a much more progressively styled bike, IMO. Guess that's why they make chocolate and vanilla.:D
YES I HAD A VTX it was a nice bike but the 109 is a lot faster and will run a 150mph+ top speed BAD ASS V TWIN ;)
 
The engine, though, is what makes the bike special. You are ALWAYS able to make the pass, and if you cover any miles at all you'll know just how important that is. Stuck behind semi-trucks for dozens of miles can ruin a trip real fast.


My 1st long trip up the highway was where the roadtrain doubles and triples roam.
Nothing like the Rocket for passing them:D

Just had to be careful not to run into the Harleys in front of me.:p

Well i don't know jack about tourque or horse power, alls i know is this . my tourer handles, has good and better than any other bike i've ever owned , handles the twisties and turns better than my street bob , my wife says its ****s all over my last few cruisers , honda , a vulcan and the bob for comfort , i've just put over 2000 klm on it last weekend , and felt that good i could off turned round and done it again .

I got caught in torrential rain and road all day feeling wet but safe all on the great ocean road which for the american freinds is a road that takes you along coastal twisties into the clouds and fog twisties back on to the caost and more good roads .

But most important , is when sat on 80 klm per hour stretches and needed to overtake , a twist of the throttle and i was past them ,

When sat on one stretch of 110 klm per hr , 3 semis all tailgaiting , me getting impaitent and knowing there was only one stretch coming up for miles , i could overtake , i went for it and from 100 klm p h to overtaking the 3rd semi at 160 per hour it was only seconds it took me to get there with a tweist off the throttle and no changing gear , overtook , with plenty of room to spare and the knoledge the oncoming cars were never going to be a problem , .

Cannot think of any other cruiser or tourer i could of done it on safely , especialy my harley and thats had the tuner and all the crap done to it .

My tourer is standard and i believe when i get the tors pipes done next week it will give me more torque and horse power, but you know what i could'nt care less its got more than enough for normal riding , what you basicly have is near big sports bike power with touring comfort .

Who cares about the specifications its all double dutch to me alls i know is you twist the throttle and it goes and on the rare ocasion i've dropped it down a couple off gears to make it go harder it flys.

In response to an earlier question the 2010 R3T can be had with ABS.
