Tire Question...

Hello all:

Was wondering if there would be any problem with running a Metzeler on the front tire and a Avon Cobra on the rear? When I purchased my Rocket Classic a few months ago the front tire had just been replaced with a new Metzeler. However, I now need to replace the rear tire, but want to switch to the Avon (and will eventually replace the front tire with an Avon when the time comes).

Any feedback would be appreciated. Thanks!

I like to run matching sets, but I see no problem with you doing that.. If I was in your situation, that's what I would do..

No problem at all.

That's what I'm running right now until the metz wears out and I either put an avon or darkside on the rear. The avon on the front wears much better than the metz did and it turns much easier at low speed now.
I still don't trust the metz on the back, but having the avon on the front feels much better.

I switched to Avons one at a time except the other way round - front first. They certainly work well together but I can't see a problem mixing them. You're heading in the right direction tho.
