This is the new one.

Richard you must be getting the hang of the Scrambler by now .. bet you can't stay off it :D well fills us in on the good and bad you've found.

LOL , I just did the opposite , have been riding a Scrambler and just bought a Rocket III Classic . Scrambler is up for sale , has been a hoot of a bike and love it but truly need to thin down the herd !!!!

@CanberraR3 How's the scrambler working out for you now that you've had her a while? Had a chance to take her in the dirt? Or do you even care to? Made any changes?

2 words. Love it.

Have made a few other minor changes to what you see such as black bash plate and taillight - basically getting rid of all the chrome I can. Airbox removal and suspension maybe the only main things I'll still do. Perhaps remove the air injectors and disable the O2 sensors.

Obviously it's not a full off road bike and I'm not an off road rider, but for dirt roads and creek crossings it's perfect.
More than adequate power for most things and almost enough to get me into trouble. What a hoot.

Don't write your self as old at 63 Dougl I have a couple of mates well into their 70s and still ridind bikes they are both smaller build guys and have gone to smaller bikes one has a late Triumph Bonneville and the other a mint Z900 Kawasaki I am only 67 this year and large enough for the R3T ,when I get "old" I will probably go for a R3T trike but that's a few years from now ,enjoy the big yellow beast young fella

Nearly ditto here, Mate!
Pushing 69 and when too old for two, shall go to a ROADSTER trike!

@CanberraR3 YOu 'my friend' are a bloody hoon. I'm thinking of slowing down and might follow your footsteps;). Just waiting for a buyer for my bike....I might buy something first after all. What do you think the chances of me selling the rocket will be if I add a bit more to the priceo_O

@CanberraR3 it's about time you hooked up that trailer and did a dump run. Scrambler looks like a nice bike. Would it handle all the gear for a 3000k ride +the coffee maker or will you have to keep the R3 for those longer trips?
