This is the new one.

My Bonnie is just going through a few changes, + a 100hp upgrade.

Well I certainly wouldn't be doing that, although I wouldn't mind the front forks and brakes (Street Triple, yes). I think well be seeing a Thruxton and maybe a Bonne with that same set up later this year or next year.

The Scrambler was one of the bikes I considered a few years back especially the satin green Steve McQueen version. They get good road reviews.

I read recently of a tyre change (road type tyres) and it totally transformed the bike making good handling fantastic. I'll try and find the details if you're interested.

Stock tyres are B/stone Trail Wing. Surprisingly good grip in the dry but had a couple of moments in the rain last week. I'm currently finding lots of dirt roads and trails round the place so want to keep them dual purpose for now. I like the rugged look anyway. But you're right, the handling is excellent even with stock suspension (which I will be changing).

That Scrambler is absolutely awesome looking!!!

Enjoy the ride.

We were at a Triumph Rally here in Pennsylvania last June and saw a Scrambler in person for the first time and fell in love with it.

Until I saw the Rocket (which we immediately bought!!) I was looking into the Triumph Tiger.

But that Scrambler turned my head fast.

Stay safe and enjoy the ride!!

God bless!!

Michael

Changing suspension as well .. thought you said you weren't going to be f#ckin around changing things on this bike ,, should have known.

I don't understand the getting rid of the Rocket and replacing it with the scrambler. Can you explain ?

I've actually been contemplating doing exactly that. Although I initially was looking at the new Ducati Scrambler, it seems a bit too small and cramped for a normal sized human. The Triumph seems a bit more accommodating. I'm getting quite tired of the weight and size of the R3. Something a bit more lithe and flickable seems quite appealing.
