Stopped for gas and bike won't start.

Glad to see you’re sorted the problem out. It’s also a real treat to see the gang chipping in with all the suggestions.

Any automotive shop should have that relay in stock for a lot less than $25. Even in Canada.

If the dealer hadn't had the OEM part in stock, I would've tried an automotive equivalent. Somewhere else on the forum, I read about the transient protection of the OEM relay due to the Rocket's high current requirements. At the very least, I'm going to figure out a cross-reference list incase another one goes tits up on a road trip.

The brain trust here was incredibly helpful in getting it sorted out. When I rode a Suzuki, there was a similar forum that, once upon a time, had similarly experienced old salts. But, after a few years, the whole forum just turned into a non-stop slap fight over religion and politics.

That wouldn't have been the purple board would it? There's parallel site now since the original got momicked up and the owner let it expire. We have still have some smart cookies, but as many have moved onto other bikes, casual talk is the usual thing. The tech boards are there and you can still get a result, and you would be welcome to contribute too! www.intruders-alert.com

if u have a spare for the starter relay (5 pin relay with diode) then that 5 pin relay should work also for fuel pump relay and engine management relay

I was a member of the old board for a long time.

It was both of the Intruder forums actually - I was sad to see the purple board go. The new one seemed to be as bad or worse about the infighting and grabassery. And, as you said, most of the members moved on to other bikes - as I have too - so I just stopped popping in.

If it was a complete power loss try this. Pull right front neck cover off (2 bolts) reach in and move wire bundle a little and it comes back. Might be a short or a harness partly undone.
Good luck.

I am running a relay from Autozone for the cooling fan, it has worked just fine for 4 years:)
