Motorcycles are the modern day equivalent of a horse. Shouldn't bike thieves be treated like horse thieves?

Well that's been an interesting thread. Started out as a stolen bike alert and ended up in a discussion of financing and pee pees. This place really is like a box of chocolates.

Something interesting, I found just a few miles from where this bike was stolen a post that a fully restored Datsun 240Z was stolen within days of the bike. Now for you non Midwesterners this is not a hotbed of crime area. The Z was stolen from some folk that have an orchard. Just found this very curious. Almost like somebody had a list.

An old uncle of mine told me once "If you can't afford to pay cash for it then you can't afford it!"....he was talking vehicles..
I took that onboard and can see the sense in it....not to say i havn't financed a couple of vehicles since but add up the xtra money it costs you to actually pay that vehicle off and it will scare the shyte out of you!.

Have paid cash for every vehicle that I have owned apart from the first motorbike I brought was on a 0% Interest deal through Yamaha.

Dealership went bust before I went back for the first service

Why would I pay cash when I can get super cheap financing and invest my cash making way more than I am paying in interest over the life of the loan?

Because this was the base for the bubble that blow up in 2008?

But this is - as written - just my personal behavior.
