So, I started having a charging issue and after 2 replaced regulators, it has been determined that the stator has **** the bed. My question is, is there an upgraded stator to the Triumph OEM? Seems I've has a lot of electrical problems with this bike and would like to find heavier duty than the POSs that come from Triumph. Lately, I've really started to second guess my purchase, that's for sure.

Never heard of a stator giving up. . Might be worthwhile looking into having it rewound. Don't know how expensive this would be or who would do it.

I'd be getting it rewound. Never heard of one going on a Rocket either. Not sure I'd be labeling it a POS until I'd found out what caused it. 2 regulators and a stator after 23K on a 2011. Sure sounds like something's amiss other than the quality of the components. Either that or plain rotten luck.

my tech thought initially the regulator and replaced it. ran a day and the same thing happened, total shut down. replaced it again, thinking it may have been a bad regulator and the same thing happened. at low idle, like at the shop, it wouldn't get picked up, but at high rpms, it overcharged the battery and melted a wire. Leading to the Stator being the culprit. ideas?

Have you owned the bike since new?
Any major wiring or electrical accessories added since new?
Original battery, have you had it tested for dead cells?
Are you the fella with the ape hangers?

Are you darkside? A car tire coupled with ape hangers is a recipe for other mechanical issues. (sarcasm)

I bet there is a correlation between the bad stator and the regulators going bad.

Ive had her since new and no, I don't have apers nor darkside. She's been pretty well taken care of. She doesn't take good care of me in return!
