Stainless recovery bottle setup for under $100

I just finished installing my new stainless recovery bottle as I needed to remove the plastic one in readiness for my OzClaw to improve cold air intake.

All in all well under $100 AUD and it looks as though it belongs there

I have included inks below for the bottle & brackets for anyone wanting to do similar plus you’ll need 1M of 6.5mm hose and a couple of new clamps.

EDIT: the clamps in the link are to suit 7/8”, 1” & 1 1/4” crash bars, there are plenty of options for different sizes and styles on EBay

Just a quick update and clarification on the recovery bottle, I had another member message me asking why I swapped the original plastic bottle for the stainless one so thought I’d clarify why here in case others also don’t know.

The reason is that an OzClaw and LMS full exhaust system from @ozrider (AKA Les) along with a RamAir filter were on order and Les advised to remove the original as it blocks the cool air from washing over the RamAir and would potentially also heat up the air that does reach the filter which is a no brainer really so I wanted to get that done before all of the other goodies arrived.

Now for the update, the exhaust, RamAir & OzClaw are now all fitted along with a remap via TuneECU and I have to say that while I loved this bike before, I love it even more now, it’s loud, it’s angry yet calm when you want it to be and the torque curve is amazing from about 2,250 RPM all the way through to redline.

PS: I finally found a name for him, I shall call him FLUFFY!!!

Fluffy was the three headed dog off one of the Harry Potter movies and is a perfect name
