Speedo wire

Just installed a new speedometer in my fairing except for actually hooking it up to the speedometer wire. Anyone wanna save me some digging and maybe tell me which wire to tie into and where?
 
cut the red one no the blue one no the red one oh hell what do I know

Sorry had to mess with ya you get that all done make sure you get some pics up please just ordered me a fairing but I got to get it will be here next week I think then have to paint it to match the bike I hope some one knows the answer to your question

Man that is looking sharp cant wait for mine I wont have nothing in it but a radio what are ya going to do with the tank speedo leave it or did you find a way to get ride of it
 
I'm just gonna leave it. I'm rigging mine so I can remove it and go back to the quick release windshield in about 15 minutes should I decide to. Holler if you have anything I can help you with.
 
I do not know if this helps at all, but one of the 16 pins in your ODB II ECU connector under the seat has an RPM wire on it.
You could try putting your bike up on a stand or lift and running it in gear.
Then touch each pin very carefully with your speedometer wire until you hit the right one?
Then connect it to the wire running from that pin?
Just a thought , I do not know if it will work.
 
Thanks Mac, I may give that a shot. I'm still trying to get the tach to work correctly too. This might take awhile....
