Shoulder Bolts fell out!

Hey all,

I picked my bike up out of storage and my shop guy pointed out that one of the shoulder bolts holding the radiator trim in was loose. Upon closer inspection, he noticed one of them was missing. It must have vibrated out. He found a substitute but it doesn't look very nice. I can't seem to find any kind of "fastener manifest" and I don't think such a thing exists for this bike.

Have any of you had this happen... bolts falling out? Is there a suitable replacement you can suggest? I looked in the service manual on page 12.2 at the exploded diagram for the Radiator and they are the ones labeled 3Nm.

I'd like to get a couple and get some lock-tight on there.

I have had quite a few lossen including engine case bolt But I have also found that the Britsh S/Steel bolts are a low quality and soft so I am slowly replacing all the fasteners with S/steel bolts made here on whereever but bought locally and are better made but sometimes you may need a washer behind them to not look out of place

I've had a couple rattle loose on the heat sheilds justv got to keep an eye on them

Once a month I go over every nut, bolt, screw that I can and check them all, big bike=big rattle=loose nuts and bolts. (standard practise with any bike)

Happens to me all the time ...... so much I have been ordering extras ... might want to check you heat shields also.... you can order through bike bandit

Just put the Hagon's on today and noticed one of the shock bolts was loose on the top left shock. The bushes looked a little flogged as well.

Teflon tape on the threads help its like using thread locker

Thanks guys,

I'll check Bikebandit. I'd like to get some replacements soon. I understand the rattle but I only put 800k on it before this happened. Slightly unnerving.

I'll go over it when I give it a wash this weekend.
