I was slowing to make a turn at an intersection today. I was very close to idle as I engaged the clutch to grab a lower gear and the engine just died. I coasted to the curb, hit the starter and she came right back to life. I rode another 30 minutes with concern and waiting to see if it was going to happen again. Never happened and ran like a top and then parked it in my garage... no issues. Should I be concerned or was this just a strange occurrence that cannot be explained? :sneaky:

Happened to me once on my R3T over in Sacramento on a scorching hot day.

I wouldn't worry about it too much unless it starts happening more often

Might be your ignition switch is going out 2007 model. How long have you owned on the bike.
Just picked up the bike 2 days ago.

I have had the same thing a few times usually after riding in bad weather. I have found that if you get some wd40 and spray on the springs between the throttle bodies and under the rubber boot at the tps end it stops it happening.

So it's a used 2007 or a typod 2017?

If it's a 2017 that's 2 days old, definitely don't worry about it, a lot of captains have experienced this on bikes before their first service.

If it's an 07 don't worry unless it happens again, if it happens again check your TPS voltages in tune ECU. Try and dial it back into exact spec, it really does make a difference and only takes 5 minutes to adjust.
