I hear your frustration and I’ve had to shell out big $ on electronic replacements. The other half of the view is the new bikes have better suspension’s and some weight savings giving them a handling advantage. I own both and each has its pluses and minuses.

More tech does add potential for issues but has advantages when working fine.

I certainly understand what you’re saying, putting my A65 along side my R111 and it looks tiny. Manoeuvring it around and it feels like a toy! But try physically picking it up!!! What a lump!
The rear suspension on both the Rocket and the Beeza were just about stuffed, so YSS on the Rocket, Hagon on the Beeza. Not a lot I can do with the front of the BSA cheaply, so new oil and springs.
