My std 2005 with 54000miles starts to -not lose power but runs a bit rough at 90mph or over it will go but just takes a bit longer , missing the old power.
Have never changed the fuel filter and only replaced the plugs once about 25000miles ago, any ideas I am leaning towards a dirty fuel filter?

Maybe an identity crisis - it thinks it's balck. ;)
I'd probably go for a new filter and plugs as starting propositions.

fuel filter.

or maybe TPS. You know how they develop a flat spot at your normal cruising speed. In your case that would be about 90.

nah, it's the fuel filter.

Plugs or filter but the sneaky one most people over look is the spark plug leads they them selves can be the source of your woes, if they are getting a bit old they will build up resistance which will or should I say can cause a spark plug to misfire or not fire at all when under load, from memory they should be reading 20k ohms per foot (it's been a while since I have had to check a set of leads so it might be worth checking with an Auto electrician about the 20k ohms per foot) if you have a multi meter it is very easy to check before you start spending money.
