RPM TOO LOW AND DYING WHEN LETTING OFF THE GAS

"
LOW AND DYING WHEN LETTING OFF THE GAS"

EAT LESS BEANS - problem solved.

My 2017 will do this 3 out of 4 times when I pull the clutch in when coming to a stop. The RPMs will be at 2k or so when in gear, I'll pull in the clutch, then the RPMs will drop very low and the oil pressure light will come on for a split second.
I've raised the idle RPMs to 800 or 850 (can't remember) in TuneECU, but the problem still remains. When it was new, it would sometime stall with the stock tune and idle speed, but hasn't done so with a new tune and raised idle speed.
Any ideas?

Mine did this about the second year I had it. I ended up raising the "base idle speed" with the screw with the yellow paint on it. There is linkage between the butterflies, and the stop screw that wears. When you first let off the throttle the butterflies close to far and choke the engine of air until the stepper is able to get them opened back up. Mine would buck and idle real rough at about 400 rpms when I first let off the gas. Hasn't done it since I adjusted the screw.

First hand lesson learned:

Stay away from single ply silicone vacuum hose.

Lesson:
On my turbo race car, I put cute color matched silicone high temp vacuum lines everywhere. Stood back, had a beer, loved it all matchy matchy. Took it for a spin and things were all fubar. The silicone vacuum hoses were collapsing flat under vacuum so the BOV wasn’t opening, PCV wasn’t working right, and fuel pressure was all wrong.

Just use rubber...

Helllooooo my brother Fred, i will have my screwdriver ready for you for when you get here

In my opinion that screw is not a idle stop but works as a butterfly closed point. In order to raise the idle it would have to move the tps indicating a different cell location on the map. I do think that some could be set a little two closed from the get go what with tolerances, and liquid refreshments for lunch. Any just speculating but if vac increases at the closing of the throttle maybe with it set to closed it actually flexes them totally closed quickly choking the engine out. Just thinking out loud ???

I think we are both talking the same language. I think the butterflies can close to far and choke off the air.

Yes sir , it like plugging them quicky so it can not breathe and wonder why it keeps dieing like the old days when you put you hand over the carb on a Briggs motor I think coming from a higher rpm down to no throttle can be and the plates getting sucked shut can be disruptive to a idle. But caution do not open them to far. And if your on a warranty and the see the painted disturbed your probably going to reach into your wallet.
