Hey Bird, you got a link to those risers? How did you have to mod them, and the clutch cable and wires reached?

Comfort you can handle

Here is the ebay link Tripps:
The item number 290876425502
Or use this in the search bar:
3.5'' Handlebar Risers For Honda Kawasaki Yamaha Triumph SUZUKI Models Riser NEW

Yes, the risers fit without modifying the cables. However, you need to: Remove old risers. Place handle bars on the gas tank, (covered of course)
Jack the front of the bike relieving fork pressure.
Remove center fork nut, 2 yoke bolts, 2 outer tube caps.
Remove the top yoke plate.
The new risers do not come with bolts to attach to the forks. And they don't match Triumphs. They are a lot bigger, however use Triumph's bolts to match the length.
Here's where it's tricky. Drill the sleeves out where the old risers go to match the new bolts. You will need to drill the flat washers on the top and bottom.
Install new risers torque accordingly.

It's a little work but it's saves $$$ and the riser bolts are a lot bigger then the stock bolts. What a difference.

It's 4:00 AM, hope this makes sense.

I did an 1100 kilometer ride at Easter only stopping for fuel .i found by resting the calf muscles on the front pegs and having the feet dangling a couple of inches of the ground was very relaxing .i found out to be able to stretch out like this every 100 km,s or so for five minutes allowed me only to stop when requiring fuel.

i managed to pick this up

looks great and from what i can tell it will be slightly more comfortable for me. i have a question though. there's a pin like normal where my old seat lines up and clicks down but then there's a 2nd release cable? what's that for. and the passenger seat has enough gap under it i can see to the other side of the bike?

would anyone with a classic mind taking a picture with their seat off so i can figure out what i need to get to make this thing fit properly. or maybe i can manipulate something to fit

thanks,
Steve

There's a plate that bolts onto where the pillion seat normally mounts. I have a spare one if you need it. You'd be better finding one closer to you though.

yes your missing the back mount plate. it mounts on the rear mud guard. send me your address I have at least one extra if not two laying around in stock. I will get it off in the mail to ya!!!!!Unless your going to be at maggie valley I can just bring it down with me.

Passenger Seat

I took the passenger seat off, unstapled the leather from the underside, took out the foam which is like a brick, took a knife and cut a "U" shape starting at the front of the seat form leaving the outside bigger "U" shaped outer edge. Had memory foam from a mattress no longer used and snipped a piece off of it to fit on the inside "U" of the seat. Rewrapped the leather around the seat and restapled it down on underside with an electric staple gun. VOILA... COMFORTABLE rear seat for practically NO $$$$!!
:D

The Classic dual seat. get a riders backrest.

And fit gel pads in. Good medical grade GEL pads. 3/4"- The cheaper 1/2" are NOT thick enough to cushion your Ischia bones.
