Rekoving Tank Protector

I would heat the pad up before using the fishing line just to get everything up in temperature some. The hotter it gets the easier its going to come off.

Ok, so I hit the tank with some heat from a hair drier and actually did not need the fishing line, it peeled right off thankfully. However, on the matte paint, there is a "shadow box" of the sticker. I tried washing it off, but it isn't the glue, it looks just like the paint is a different color. Any suggestions? A friend of mine stated more than likely will fade due to sun. It isn't extremely noticeable, however, when I look at the tank now it is all I see....

Being a 2016 model I don't see how the paint would fade THAT fast..... but anyways other than buffing it in which I wouldn't recommend paint is the only option that I know. Buffing it or wiping something on it will more than likely make the tank a shiny black.
