RamAir sale

I took that "s" shaped rubber hose of and cut in in half. I then put the short end over the breather and put the filter on the end which is now just inside the cover..pointing towards me...makes it easy to get at...it is a female dog of a thing but once done works a treat...remember...Patience was a virgin!...something like that anyhow!

I also covered the large hole in the front of the air box and have been using it for tool storage over five years with no problemas.
Ah - but have you removed the drain two plugs underneath? - I had an issue when I had to leave my R3 stood outside in UK rain - Water still found its way in. To this day I do not understand HOW.

Watch the you tube video on the install. Makes it a snap. Just make sure you have some bandaids to cover the scrapes from squeezing your hands into those tiny places

I wish I had thought of that, scraped my knuckles to crap getting in there... but I was determined.

I watched the video as well and decided a few small tool options might help out with loosening those clamp screws in those tight places. I have a ton of tools, but I always try to plan ahead before I do anything. I bought a few more. I'm thinking a quarter inch drive set, some metric hex bits and small right angle drivers might do the trick in those tight places. If that doesn't work, I guess I'll have to get more creative. I put my fingers in the picture for some perspective.

You should add a few soft rags to stuff under the hard to reach bolts, so if you drop them they wont get lost (especially behind oil tank).

And take the 'swear jar' and a pocket full of loose change with you. This will be the most frequently used tool of the lot. Well that and the band aids

My wife had no problem with the breather filter.

Honestly, if you remove the two bolts holding the plenum to the and the front worm drive clamp, you can wiggle the back worm drive clamp off even if you dont loosen it much because the rubber grommet wants to come off the hard plastic plenum mouth. The hard one to get at is the filter on the crankcase breather, its tight in there.

Oh trust me...there will be rags stuffed everywhere I can possibly drop something. It seems to be my thing. The video was pretty good overall and helps a lot with the removal and install. Maybe I can get my wife or son to help with the breather. My son says I have banana size fingers. That's not good! I actually have a couple of other routing ideas about the breather issue and may not even use it. We'll see....
