Oh trust me...there will be rags stuffed everywhere I can possibly drop something. It seems to be my thing. The video was pretty good overall and helps a lot with the removal and install. Maybe I can get my wife or son to help with the breather. My son says I have banana size fingers. That's not good! I actually have a couple of other routing ideas about the breather issue and may not even use it. We'll see....
Something else which might help to prevent dropping bolts is to magnetize your sockets/bits. Or get one of the flexible finger devices which has three metal fingers that open and close as you depress the plunger. They work real well after you back the hard to reach bolts out then grasp the bolt with the fingers and complete the removal. They also do well to hold the washer to the bolt for removal or installation.

Ah - but have you removed the drain two plugs underneath? - I had an issue when I had to leave my R3 stood outside in UK rain - Water still found its way in. To this day I do not understand HOW.

Chris,
Now I'll have to go look see if there are any plugs in mine - don't reckon there are.
Never have had any water or even moisture in the box and surprisingly very little oil.
A seasonal clean out has kept everything good to go.
