RAMAIR FILTER CHANGE OUT

Patrol...
I got mine but am storing up the F-Bombs that are going to be dropped during the install. I watched the install vid and I know there will be obscenities as I have no beer or buds to self medicate and a wife that is an ISIS commander.
Did you get yours on yet? I am going to do mine at the same time I do the DP AFR+ and snake the EFI wiring through the pipe from where the Air Filter was to the EFIs and mount the Dobeck black box in the Air Filter void.
LMK how yours works out!
Cheers...G

Just did mine last week.
Not a difficult job at all - took me about an hour, including time reading the directions.
Oh yeah and BTW, all my OEM air filter $hit has been gone for years.

1 hour? Do you have "Little Marco" hands?:rolleyes::D

Excellent question!
When I previously eliminated the OEM air filter, I filled the breather hole at the bottom of the air box with filter foam.
I remove it for cleaning when I cleaned my RU2780s. I keep a good assortment of tools in the empty air box and have absolutely no issues with any oil mess in the box.
Short answer - I removed the plastic cover, looked in and observed where I had to disconnect the breather hose and install the little filter and tried to reach in there.
I did NOT screw with that tiny little filter. :D

Just a sideways step on the thread, any ideas for caps/covers for the RU_2780 filters?

That's exactly how I did mine and that layout works well. In addition, I us d some water pipe insulation foam covering to stuff into the pipe from the airbox so that nothing nasty could fall through and perhaps damage the AFR+ controller,

Mark I believe I got the idea from you! If you use the insulation they use on HVAC suction lines it will be pliable rather than the frost king foam insulation.....Send me a conversation on your set up as I am going to copy your idea....I remember you are one smart mofo:thumbsup:

Mine are under the bear claw tooooooooooo

WHAT! You need a British Made Intake on a British bike! Where do you put your IAT so it does not get HEATSOAKED and retard your timing and wipe out the HP?

At least the RAMAIR has the IAT breakout and embeds it directly into the air coming into the throttle bodies.....

Just Curious on the IAT location with the RU2780s......
