RAMAIR FILTER CHANGE OUT

"It's a pity you can't remove the cat."

Hi Mark, The D&D slip-ons should have eliminated the cat. What are you referring to ? .

My cat is gone, but xlr8tion said he had to keep his as he's moving to a state that has emissions testing. That's what my comment referred to.

Mark, are you referring to the "difference in low to mid range torque" after your mod's from dyno results, or just what you feel in the saddle?
I'm asking because I would like to know if there is a good dyno tuner in D-F/W area.

Butt Dyno only I'm afraid. The difference however was fairly obvious. I don't know of a good tuner for the Rocket in the DFW area, unfortunately.

Patrol...

I got mine but am storing up the F-Bombs that are going to be dropped during the install. I watched the install vid and I know there will be obscenities as I have no beer or buds to self medicate and a wife that is an ISIS commander.

Did you get yours on yet? I am going to do mine at the same time I do the DP AFR+ and snake the EFI wiring through the pipe from where the Air Filter was to the EFIs and mount the Dobeck black box in the Air Filter void.

LMK how yours works out!

Cheers...G
LOL...yeah...I had a few choice words....and stopped for 3 beers....just a touch of reset and back to it..glad I don't have huge hands....still looking for the washer and bolt I dropped behind the oil tank.....plus I found and extra part......no clue where a 3/4 inch shim was in the mix but I was using a magnet to hold the bolts.....bolt dropped and I pulled out some shim..WTF...anyhow, it cant hurt anything behind the oil reserve.

Ran a few tanks of gas thru the bike...with the MAP that Hans0 whipped up for me, the bike literally screws....taking the speed limiter out of the picture made that issue negated. 145 mph is well busted easily and gets their fast....glad I have a rumble seat to hold my ass against something.... Running hard....25-27 MPG. Running daily, expresss-ways, city and staying within 10 over speed limits....32 MPG from yesterdays fill up.

It is a testing time installing the ramair for sure, its not a sunday morning(after a heavy night on the turps) job!...If you drop a bolt or nut in behind the oil tank...GET IT OUT!...it will rub thru the tank in time!...this is why I used a magnetic pen to hold onto things as I undid them...cant be too careful!

Thanks, I'll look into The HVAC insulation.
The first photo below shows the AFR+ and an Eastern Beaver PC8 fuse box mounted in the airbox. I bent a 1/16" x 1" piece of aluminum into a 'U' shape and used Velcro to mount both items to it.

Regarding me being a smart mofo, I think you definitely have me confused with someone else. ☹️

Hope this helps,
Mark.

I used the Jubilee clip from the bottom of the hose, to attach a water proof material, blocking off that hole altogether. It's made extra room under the tank and the Air Box, is now a Toolbox
