RAM AIR

They had a list on the rat forum, but it wasn't much good, either they didn't do it anymore, or people had unsatisfactory experiences. Not sure why, but Bob Carpenter uses Tuneboy plus PC.

I think it has to do with the RPM limits.
One of the Gurus should answer this.

I hate to say it without being absolutely positive, but I'm pretty sure that's the place is closest to me, too, and one of the RAT guys had a bad experience, so I never went there, something to do with making an appointment, rode a couple hundred miles, they said only guy who did it wasn't in that day, or said he wasn't really very familiar with it, or something like that, it was a few years back, but there was only 2 places near me, PA or OH, and Ohio guy didn't work out either for some reason.

That lack of tuners was the reason that I got PCV/AT. I had ridden down to Birmingham, AL, to get PowerTripp to tune my bike, and then later installed different pipes. Wayne was unable to tune it (through no fault of his) before he retired and so I went with the PCV/AT. I have been more than happy with it,

Perhaps make contact with Tune ECU and learn the guy's name?

Dyno showed that the rocket is running lean between 3-3500 rpm.. mechanic recommended power commander 5 as a good option to fix........ recommendations / opinions please....

Would be OK if Dyno not available.
If you do choose one, I would also consider an Auto Tune.

I recommend Dobeck Performance AFR Plus. It controls the afr across the rpm band and sends a better signal to the fuel injectors for increased performance and mpg.

Call shops up, ask them about tuning and how they do it. Play dumb, they will reveal their ignorance quickly in my experience.

I best like a Tune ECU operated by a competent dyno tuner!!!
