RAA IV.V Quick Look

Blame me. I had my dates wrong and changed it while you were posting. Thanks for the positive feedback.

That looks like a good time!!! Here's another good one up closer to you... :)

I'm tempted to do the Maggie Valley NC, but have been planning on the Rooster Rally March 12-15 in LA. Rooster Rally. Ain't nuthin like partying wit dem Cajun folk! Plus, it would be great to have some Rocket company there as I seldom see any Triumphs at any rallies.

If there is A TX version of RAA (tx) in the fall, count me in!

Yep! Done did it! (Skuz my TX accent). Happened in Oct. Rode with a bunch of lunatics called Rally Riders. They are from all around TX & OK that met at the last Republic of Texas Rally and kind of stuck together. They are lunatics but a riot to be around. pics here Photos - Rally Riders Meetup Group (Fort Worth, TX) - Meetup.com That's me in the middle in the back on the first pic under the blue tent. Barely can see my Triumph shirt.

RAA4 sure sounds tempting!!!! Wondering if I should trailer there or not...over 1K miles from here.

Here's the link to my '07 politically correct, office safe Sparks pics.. :)
Sparks Rally '07 In the top middle photo, I'm the guy in the white shirt. My bike is the blue Rocket with flames.. :)

RAA IV, of course, is not like either of these rallies.. :) But it is a great time! and trailer? Who trailers? ... lol Although, I do understand it is a necessity for some.. :)

RAA V Suggestion

OK.. NativeOne, a member over at R3Owners.com has put forth the idea of a Rocket meet in the Hill Country, next year. He will be moving there. Greg, tdragger, and myself have been talking with them about merging our plans and using the Texas Hill Country as RAA V.
A date hasn't been set yet, but NativeOne was wise to start this early, as lodging is already booked up on prime dates in a lot of places for this year.

I am proposing that we push an RAA IV.5 to RAA V and that RAA V be in the Hill Country in conjunction with NativeOne's proposal. This will give us plenty of time to reserve lodging and plan things out for a really great time. Of course, that doesn't mean we can't have another get together. But, with the two sites, RAA V could be a really neat run.. :) I know some of us (inluding myself) don't get along with some on .com, but quite a few of us post on both sites anyway, and there are a few of them I wouldn't mind meeting.. :)

Dave,
gonna be a lot of rockets in one place....

e.s. x 2. now that's a lot of rockets...:D

now what's every one think about all of this? is it too many rockets in one place? is a 100 plus too many? nawwwwww. sounds just 'bout right for lil' ol' texas. :D

Sounds like a great idea to me. !

I have heard about the split of the sites and several people's opinions on that, that was before my time and frankly I don't care what happened in the past. I know it can take time for some wounds to heal, often justifiably so. I'm just here because of the Rocket! I don't normally talk about much on either site except the bikes. I can see ****, talk politics and watch just about any video elsewhere. Not that I'm against any of that, it's certainly every one's prerogative to post what they wish, (within the rules). I'm happy to be a member of both sites and feel that there are both good and some others on both sites. (I'm sure I've been considered a member of all 4 groups by some from time to time!). I went on the Tahoe ride planned on the .com site last year and I also went on the ES trip planned on this site. I had a blast on both and hope to keep up with both sites. I also plan on attending the upcoming trip in May.

What could be better than a bunch of Rockets and riders getting together in one place?

I'm there! :D:D:D

No, it was listed as a 3.4. The epicenter was about 38 miles northeast of my location at 5:19 AM. I was on duty at the fire department on the third story. It didn't wake me! :D
